Kernel Festival /012

Second consecutive year of the event which involved 67 artists from 16 different countries who have performed with their projects alternating with world-class artists, sharing the stage full of comparison, exchange and experimentation. The emerging artists have had the possibility to perform on the stages of Kernel Festival alongside live performance of artists like Floating Points, Onur Ozer, Mass Prod, Jahcoozi, Aquarius Heaven, The Analog Session e Spektrum.

In a group exhibition the section of Temporary Architecture hosted together the projects of the young people selected, those of international artists and architects such as, Adam Nathaniel Furman, basurama, Electroland LLC, Luca Diffuse, NL Architects, Plastique Fantastique.

Of the 250 proposals received through the open calls, the selection committees have identified the most interesting and original projects that participated in the event in the four areas of the kermess:

– Electronic Sound & Music: Borinots tqt [ES], Fannullare [IT], Good cop/Naughty cop [NL/AU], Kid Meets Cougar [US], Simone Pappalardo e Diego Manfreda [IT], The Last Place (Left) [CH/DE].

– Audiovisual Mapping: Ambientartlab [AT], Andrea Giansanti [IT], K137 [IT], João Beira [PT], LuckyAssembler [IT], IndefiniteVj [PE/CH], Mike Todd/King Britt [US], Seve [FR], Sinoca [ES], Space F!ght [PL/UK], StereoChrome [IT], Thetis [GR], Welovecode/Tigrelab [ES].

– Interactive & Digital Art: Interindisciplinate [IT], Lustix [CO/US], Nuno Serrão [PT], Tviga Vasilyeva [RU] Xex Grp. [RC].

– Temporary Architecture: Corg [IT], Miro [IT].

As part of the Festival were also presented projects of the winners of the first edition of Kernel Lab _011/012: Angelo Ferrara [Electronic Sound & Music], Roberta Orlando [Audiovisual Mapping], Matteo Riva [Interactive & Digital Art], Mirko Quarzo [Temporary Architecture].
