Blooming Lights

Blooming Light is an installation of self-powered dynamic light. A flowery field giant powered by the sun and wind which produces energy instead of consuming it.
An out-of-scale blossomed field in the heart of the city with different flowerbeds around which people can sit, relax and appreciate the multiple light effects generated by the moving flowers, accompanied by an evocative and intimate ambient soundtrack.
The installation offer the public an ever-ever changing color experience as if a modern Alice in Wonderland he was walking through the streets of the city.

LIGHTS
An element (the flowerbeds) is composed by three flowers, a vase, a speaker and a bench each, have 27 RGB LED spots (mounted on the corolla) electronically controlled and connected to one other to create harmonize light, and sound, effects.

MUSIC AND SOUND
The installation is accompanied by a programmed sound system which recreate, around every single flowerbed, an intimate ambient evoking natural experience.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY
The flowers, under the wind force, activate dynamo system which, together with solar energy collected by the photovoltaic panels to the leaves, make possibile to illuminate the installation by night.

Blooming Light is an evolution of Flowering Cycle-Wind, a permanent installation in operation since 2009 in Vimercate (MB), Italy.
