ByBike Painting

Date
2007 - 2009

Place
Monza, Vimercate, Milan and Nova Milanese

Bicycles, used by the public as brushes, trace lines extemporaneous of color on a large canvas stretched on the square, turning a playful moment of aggregation and participation in a collective action-painting.

The idea is part of the larger project ByBIKE, an extensive artistic initiative that since 2007 has promoted the bicycle as a sustainable vehicle of urban transport, through the urban art, play and participation.

The first event of action-painting was produced during ByBIKE-Wall in 2007 at Monza and, subsequently, it brought in other cities, from Vimercate to Milan's Cathedral in 2008 and Nova Milanese in 2009, seeing participate not only children but also adults and celebrities lie close to the world of art and culture.
