Kernel Messina promoted artistic experimentation, enhancing the local heritage and young talents.
Developed on three locations, Piazza del Duomo, Fiera and Palacultura, has embraced the city presenting a cultural and technological offer: audiovisual mapping short films, light installations, live concerts and meetings, all free to the public.

The façade of the Duomo di Messina became an inspiration for the audiovisual mapping short films realized by internationally renowned artists and young talents.

Fiera di Messina hosted light and sound installations that created unusual perceptual experiences in the spaces. An experimental night tour to discover and appreciate with the aid of three-channel wireless headphones.

Palacultura, on both days of the festival, hosted meetings with local realities, professionals and the artists involved in the festival. Moments of research related to the digital world and its applications, with particular reference to artistic expressions treated by the festival.

Kernel Messina involved more than 30 artists selected through the Kernel platform.
