Kernel Platform

Kernel Festival is an international platform, which now counts more than 750 artists, dedicated to contemporary artistic expressions linked to technological experimentation that involved, in the three editions of the Kernel Festival [2011- 2012 - 2015], in the declination of 2013 Kernel Mapping Cinema and in the 2014 and 2015 editions of Kernel Theater, nearly 27,000 spectators, dozens of volunteers and professionals from around the world.

The aims of the event is also to promote the art-historical assets of the territory, enhancing them in the eyes of the citizens and bringing them to a young and international audience.

The event sees artists and professionals share the stage with young talents selected through international open calls. The calls are open to different subjects: artistic projects and works, innovative and experimental performances, conferences, meetings and workshops. The proposals refer to different technological and digital fields, including:

– Electronic Music

- Visual Mapping

– Interactive, Digital & Light Art

– Temporary Architecture.

The platform also includes tutorial moments, both for children and young Italian talents with Kernel Lab, a program of workshops and residences to develop new artistic research, through comparison with professionals and international realities, in the artistic, academic and industrial field.
