Sound Safari

An unprecedented exploration of the urban space thanks to a technological platform for listening and contemplation. A sound experience to rediscover places and city spaces, where each site acquires a different meaning and atmosphere thanks to a dedicated musical and acoustic project.

Thanks to an interactive map and the geolocation system, each user, having reached a sensitive area, can
appreciate 24 hours a day, the works that each artist has linked to a specific place, using their earphones connected to smartphone and tablet devices.

Sound Safari is a digital platform designed by AreaOdeon that can be applied to various contexts and can be customized according to the occasion and need.

Sound Safari brings the sea to Milan for the Ocean&Climate Village exhibition, present at the Triennale Milano, created by IOC-UNESCO as part of UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and hosted as part of All4Climate, Italy 2021 and Pre-Cop26.

The platform allows you to listen to the sounds of the sea and its creatures in some squares of Milan.
In the spaces of the Triennale and its gardens it is possible to immerse yourself in a journey into the abyss through listening to a composition created by the musician and sound designer Enrico Ascoli, using the hydrophonic recordings of some cetaceans.
